Svikt
Utstillingen åpner 9. august og vises t.o.m. 16. august
Utstillingsåpning fredag 9. august kl. 18:00. Alle velkomne - fri adgang.
Kunstnerne sier om utstillingen:
"Svikt (Malfunction) is the result of a dialogue about the nature of systems, particularly the effectiveness and intrinsic deviation rate of any given system. All systems generate deviations at some point and uncontrollable variables increase the chances of discrepancies. However, what is defined as deviations will affect the frequency at which they occur."
Utstillingen er produsert med støtte fra Norsk Kulturråd, Billedkunstnernes Vederlagsfond og Bergen kommune.
Se også Jonas Ib F.H. Jensens nettsider www.pissinginthewind.no.
Utstillingens åpningstider er kl. 12.00 - 16.00 hver dag. Fri adgang.

Dillan Marsh, June Twenty-First, Entreé Bergen
Dillan Marsh presents the exhibition June Twenty-First at Entrée. As the title suggest the opening will be on the summer solstice, inviting you to participate in the marking of the longest day and shortest night of the year. In an immersive construction Marsh is activating a number of rituals and he employs commercial tactics like repetition, speed and distraction. The title is fixing the exhibition to a specific time and examines how we relate to the larger systems we are taking part of through participating in smaller events. Entrée finds itself re-branded and built into the concept of the work on show. Join us for June Twenty-First at 8pm!
Following the exhibition is a new Apis Press publication by Bjørn Mortensen with texts by Eleanor Clare. The exhibition will also contain a new edition of prints from collaboration with Patrick Wagner.
Dillan Marsh (b.1980, UK) lives and works in Bergen where he graduated from Bergen Academy of Art and Design in 2011. He has participated in exhibitions and projects internationally including Sculpture Space, Utica NY, Tag Team, Bergen and Künstlerhaus Dortmund.

Benjamin
Entner, 'Ego Sum'
Ego
Sum is a recent body of work exploring the boundaries and interplay between two-
and three-dimensional methods of making. Specifically, the point at which a
drawing can become form and an object can become representation. These works are
made by drawing in a realistic fashion on fabric and then inflating it to make
the drawing voluminous and sculptural. These works are made with a keen
awareness to art historical precedents and are often a reference to or parody of
the figurative work of Classical and Renaissance masters. At SOMA I intend to
create a monumental figurative water fountain mimicking those of the Baroque
era. The fountain will be made in a similar fashion to the Ego Sum project
however, its figures will be outfitted with hoses and pumps so that they may
‘spit’ water.
